Dinner at the
theatre
Or is it theatre for dinner? In the city
centre of Brussels our dinner is served
in a cosy pub that houses a puppet theatre
named Toone. Before enjoying the “Brueghel
style buffet”, we will attend a
conference adapted show in English. Of
course it will be combined with the juicy
dialect of “Brussels-Vloms”.
Do not miss out!
Toone
At the borders of dead end streets Schuddeveld
and Sainte-Pétronille you will
find one of the most precious places in
the heart of the inhabitants of Brussels:
the House of Toone
In addition it hosts
a typical pub, with Spanish pink bricks,
blackened beams and earthen tiles, a puppet
theatre in the attic, with benches of
wood covered in multicoloured cushions,
an industrial clothing workshop for the
dolls, a library, a video library, and
finally a puppet museum, where amongst
the relics of the past, the former heroes
of Toone and puppets of fellow-member
marionnettists from around the world.
Toone is a popular and
adoptive dynasty of puppeteers.
Indeed, the name Toone
is not necessarily transmitted from father
to son: the new Toone must be adopted
at the same time by its predecessor and
his audience.

How to get there:
Coming from the Grand Place,
passing through the Haring street, enter
the small street next to the “Marie
Coton” shop n°66. At the end
of the street you enter the Toone theatre.
